Night Time Mistry

ok, at night with the lights off, my silver dollars develope these spots. they vanish when the light is put on. sorry for the poor quality photo, i had to do it in the dark to get the pic:

now its been going on for a few years, so i think i can dismiss a illness. my only thought is it may be something to do with breeding. anyone any ideas?

only when lights out?maybe its the camoflauge, like cichlids change colour from day to night,,

mine get them as well? can;t help as to why though sorry>

mine sometimes go very colourful with a very dark edging to the tail fin?

I think male silver dollars get those spots around mating times. Maybe when the lights go off the get a little ansy...
