Hi everyone. I started getting into aquariums when I was forced to work at home. I enjoy the complexity of this hobby and the potential growth, that is ahead of me. My goal is to feel comfortable with fresh water fish and aquarium maintenance. Then I want to be proficient enough to get ,”into” salt water aquariums and reef aquariums.

Read up on cycling your tank in the articles elsewhere on here. I’d recommend silent cycling, it’s a lot simpler (must be I can do it) but requires a lot of live plants which you may not be interested in. The tangles posters seem to get into with other cycling methods seem to be so unnecessary to me.
Also research any fish on seriouslyfish.com it seems to be the go to site for most on here and is owned and ran by some seriously serious fishologists from scientific backgrounds.
