New To The Hobby

yea im taking baby steps right now. dont want to mess with plants just yet. on a side note i got 5 more neons and a school of 6 cory today at the lfs. i also did a 15 percent water change. that water is currently not as clear as i would like it. would it be a bad idea to do another water change in 24hrs to clear up the water a little bit?

There is no harm to doing frequent water changes as long as you get a fair temperature match and never forget the dechlorinator.

well now with the coryies my bottom is nice and active. i would like to add 2-4 new fish to finish up my tank. i would like a fish that has some color to it and that swims to the high to middle area that would be good for a community tank any suggestions.

I would go see what they have at the LFS and find a few fish that you like. After that you could come back and list them and let us guide you to something compatible. Please remind the people here that you have soft water when you give us the list so that we won't recommend stupid choices based on not knowing that. The tank size and present stocking would also help when people are trying to choose proper companions. I know that bits of this information have been in earlier posts but it would be nice to have it in one place when we are trying to help with stocking questions and suggestions.
