New to planting tanks

Hi, i just started a 20gal high tank, i bought 16 fishes, 4 died within 2 days, 2 angelfish and 2 others, i have some neon tetras and some red swords, and couple little yellow fish i dont know the names, i want to start planting this tank but i have no idea where to start, i will try give the best information for you guys to help me, i have the Perfecto flourence light, its 17 watts, 30-60 gal filter, heater, air pump, and 1 artificial plant. what should i start with and how? thanks!

Well first off I notice that you only have .85 watts per gallon and most plants need more than that.... I think the minimum is like 1.5 or 2 WPG. 2nd you need some substrate, this is what the plants are rooted in. 3rd, you should start with plants that are easy to very easy to care for.

Tropicas website will help you find some plants that will work for you. They also have a list of dealers in your area.
