First up parameters:
25 litre cycled tank
Aquaone 200 filter with baffles
55W heater
Fluval 88 CO2 system
Light - 8W
Fish: one male betta, three kuhli loaches
Plants: mature Windelov java fern, anubia, couple of crypts, couple blyxa, couple red rotala, US fissidens
Plain gravel, one piece golden vine
Temp: 27 degrees C
Carbonate hardness: 5
pH: 7.6
Right now I've set up the tank to take one bubble every three seconds which gets the tank down to a pH of 6.8 after a couple of hours. The CO2 goes on for around 5 hours along with the lights, and I turn the lights off two hours after the CO2 is turned off.
The tank has run without CO2 for a couple of months and I was dosing micros twice a week and macros once a week, plus iron once a week. Now that I've added CO2, roughly how much more should I increase ferts, or should I leave them for the time being? Also does the above setup sound about right?
I'm also wondering what to do about flow as my betta likes the water relatively still. Most of the CO2 is circulating around the blyxa and rotala, but I'd like to ensure the fissidens down the bottom gets some love too.
