hi , im new to tropical fishkeeping and have a few questions + would like to learn as much as possible. i have a 160 litre aquaone aquarium with a 250w heater set at 26-27 degrees
1- after setting up and filling the tank and removing chemicals from water, i let the tank sit for approx 6 days without the additoin of any fish. 2 weeks ago i added 8 zebra danios to kick off the cycle process but not getting any ammonia readings yet. any thoughts?
2- my ph level seems to stick around the high 7s - i want it to be neutrul, and have added ph down but still not really getting any lower
3- iv noticed a white foamish type substance on top of the heater's suction caps .. any ideas what it is and if its harmful?
