New Spawn

He's actually got his own spawning tank but he needs to get it set back up :p

Plus I'm going to be having a go with this ones brother Keaper and another sibling while the original two are conditioned back up again.

Tilly.....don't panick, you'll shift them no problem. If you really get into problems though....just give us a shout and we'll see if we can help you out :good:

lol thank you! its ok though really I was just kidding, Weirdly all of them seem to be red!

Red is dominant over other colours so if the parents have any red in them or there was red in previous generations then this will come out in the fry.

How are they all doing this week?

Yeah they are good a lot are Red and Blue, the platinum is the biggest with no colour at all, two are smaller but look very much like platinum dragons and there is one that looks like a red cambo at the moment - I was joking to maddie a lot look like Ronald Mc Donald loads have orange heads red fins and blue bodies  but i guess they will shift and change loads !

Lol.....well there a name sorted "Ronald" & "McDonald"....."Big Mac" for the platty

Lol....you got it Tibby

Just a quick update on these. I have 7 fry despite their rocky start and they are now almost a week old. Still very small but hoping that they do ok.

Will update again next weekend and hopefully have some more pics.

Well I'm down to two from the original 7 plus Nemo who was found 2 weeks later in the spawning tank.

I've conditioned this pair up again. The female was released last night just for a couple of hours. I just released her again and she went straight under the nest and they are currently in the process of wrapping.

I'm hoping he's not going to munch his eggs this time but may steal some eggs just in case :hey:

She's now out after 3 hours of spawning. I've not checked his nest as I've decided to just leave him too it and not disturb him at all for the next couple of days. I've covered the sides of the tank and will try to resist poking my nose in

Not yet. Some eggs fell out of the nest so I have them in a tub. I should know later tonight whether any eggs hatch.

The 3 from the first spawn including Nemo are doing well at the moment :good:

Have spotted one little wriggler so far :hyper: Not sure how many eggs are still in the nest or even if there are anymore so will just have to wait and see if anymore start hatching. Fingers crossed.

Cheers for that guys :good: Still have the little one hanging from the nest. Didn't think the eggs in the tub looked too good but one has hatched. I'll leave them for a bit longer then put them in the same tub together.
