I have just bought some new fish which are x5 Red Serpae Tetra x2 rams but i already had some other fish which are an albeano shark and a clown louch will these fish mix ok

Their mix ok, but a couple of things.

Sharks get grummpy with age and chase anything that gets close to them or their home, so like a large tank (3')
Clowns are a soceral fish as are most loach but they want to be in a grope of at lease 3-4 fish.

im thinking of putting some gobies and neon or cardanal tetras in the fish tank will they still mix ok

What size tank do u have and how long has it been running?

What gobies u looking at also as some need salt in the water and would not mix.

Neon's and cardanal's are quite sensitive to new tanks and would only ever put them in well established tanks that have been running for more than 6 months.

the gobies were bumble bee gobies the tank gas been running for more than 6 month but has had a half water change

another thing to add about the clown loach... they get ma-hoo-sive!
i think a 55 gallon tank is minimum for one (?) so you'd be looking at a tank about 4 foot long.

i definatly can see the smaller fish getting chased around by the shark so much that they eventually die of stress.
i had a 3 inch shark with a fan tail black moor (telescope eye) when i first started fish keeping. this black moor was like 7 inch long but the shark took a disliking to it and wouldnt leave it alone. they are lovely looking fish but often need that extra bit of caution when keeping them.

pink.

ok, they tank is way too small for the clown loache, u need a tank of about 200L to keep these guys as they grow sooo big! and u need more than 1! most lfs sell them £15.00 for x3. so 3 is the bear minimum really! hope this helps u!

the clown loach is already in the fish tank

i understand tht but he shouldnt be really lol! not enough of them and a too small a tank! why not try trading him in @ the lfs for a fish tht can live happily and comfortably in a smaller tank!

fish like:

- rummy nose tetras
- mollies
- guppies
- platies
- neons
- bettas etc!

I dont understand, half water change? You mean you change 50% of the water a week?Or its had one full water change in the time its been running?

well the tank has been running with a albeano shark and a clown loach in the tank and 5 weeks ago i emptied the full tank putting the fish and half of the water in a buket changed the garvel to sand and put rock into the tank

Ah ok, well as people have said the 60 litre is going to be far too small for the loach and to be honest its too small for the shark, they can grow to 6" and I would say a 30 gallon would be much more suitable.

I would definately take the loach back if you cant get a 4 foot+ tank and trade it in for some smaller species of fish.
