Thanks he should grow up really nice. They all eat very well out of my hand now. They know me now and come to the tank for food. They were being shy before but now they feel right at home. Time to do a water change.

They are somehow lacking colour (camera to blame?) but look healthy. What species is the beautiful Yellow Discus?

They are only 2.5 " and no hormons at all. That's why they look more silver then blue or brown. These guys will look like differant fish once they start to grow.

Most of your lfs discus are from Asia and given hormons to bring out the color so they sell better. Not all Asia bred discus get hormons but it happens with some.

The yellow one is a pigeon Blood of some kind. He was my first and is almost a year old. He is about 4.5". He looked very dull when I first got him.

Im not a discus person but have scoured the forums (and LFS) enough to know nice discus... and my goodness. You have ME all excited about them Surely youll keep everyone posted. Im eagerly awaiting updates already.
Very sorry about your pup. Ill be devastated when his time comes (which hopefully is no where near soon).

Thanks. I'm am happy with my new fish and have been feeding them all day. I will be doing daily or everyother day water changes in hope I will get these guys to grow out well.

The day I had to put my dog down was the worst day of my life for sure. But it was time. She was 16yr and had lost 15lb. She had a great life and will never be forgotten.

Don't worry I will post photo on how these discus grow. It should be fun to watch the change
