The one I posted today has a black band all around the red. Lacking on the Cenepa.
@Byron The TFH article was informative. The author noted that , as an importer , he was pleasantly surprised to see this fish happen along and that it was encouraging that new fish await discovery. He was also worried that habitat destruction and human development will diminish these new discoveries. I have often lamented the passing of the Golden Age of the freshwater aquarium hobby but it may not have passed. It may have only paused to resume again today. Theses fish prove so.
