They are beautifull 'little' oscars. Emphasis on little because they won't be very little in a month or two. They have just got fantastic colouration to them. I love the pinkish hues to them with the black finnage, its really striking. As adults they are going to be impressive.
That sand won't stay white for long with oscars, or flat![]()
nope for a change they werent going to the toilet![]()
thanks the next thing i want is a nice fast f 1.8 lens , my dad has got a brilliant macro lens which il probably borrow next time we go and visit . i havent played with the video mode yet . i may do when i get the lead , but i need to find out wether i get a special lead or just an adaptor , as the camera is a mini hdmi socket and the tv is normal size hdmi. as for uploading i dont really know about that but im guessing to keep the full 1080p hd id have to upload it via the hdmi and then it would need to be viewed on an hd compatible computer? maybe somebody with a bit more knowledge could clear that 1 up for me?

I am guessing because I dont have a video capable SLR() but surely HD video would be saved onto the camera's SD card and can then be copied as with photos to a PC and then dealt with like any other video file. The leads are only required if you want to play back on a TV using the camera etc.
My macro is f2.8 and I can tell you going for a lower f-stop lens than that is a worthwhile thing to do but it will be uber expensive I think...unless to get a cracking deal second hand. Even with bright tank lights etc you'll still have low light issues with f2.8 in places around the tank meaning lower shutter speeds or higher ISO settings are required etc. Using a flash is okay but I don't like doing that if I don't have cause the fish can get a little spooked
Get cataloguing your fish....it's nice having high quality pics of them at various sizes![]()
