i love that black & white! was stuck between him and the Green & Yellow i went for, there latest lot are at the airport! :good:

Thanks for all the kind comments, I was so very close to ordering the black/white Betta but I made the mistake of asking the misses what colour she would like me to buy!! and she wanted something "Brighter" so Super Red was the best choice, I am more than happy and Flame has settled in well (and he looks flawless to me).

I would still like to know if the the tank looks suitable? Flame seems happy with everything but there is a slight current being whipped up by the filter. I have removed both the plastic plants and put in a lilly type silk plant which sits at the bottom and acts like a bed for Flame to lay on. I am also in the process of making a bed out of a 4 inch piece of clear hose cut in half which attaches to the back of the filter and sits just below the water and out of the current, Flame can just swim up on to it to rest and when ready swim off the other side.

Beautiful Betta. In a small tank like that I would choose silk over live plants as live plants get messy and the smaller the tank the more often you need to clean it. Also, make sure you don't over feed him. He is BEAUTIFUL! Best of luck with him. :)

You tank will be fine, he should be very happy. Just watch the filter current. If he seems to start getting stressed about it then you might need to remove it but, thats unlikely. He is a fine looking fish
