New aquascape opinions

Hey there! I'm making a new tank for some shrimp and I wanted to get some thoughts from some more people about the hardscape. Nothing is really glued in place yet, only some rocks are glued to one another.

Looks good but I think you could get more perspective if you angled the wood at the back a bit more.

That is really good, well done. With a plain dull black background, like construction paper, superb.

@Wills might have an idea, but to be honest I don't think I fathom what it is, but it may be what I am thinking too...!!

The back wood is just balanced there as I could, when I glue it it will be a bit different, I know what you're talking about.

As for the background, I will either paint it black or put a matt finish on it, haven't decided yet. I have to get a matt sheet and see how it looks like.
