New 475L Tank... (It's Arrived!)...

Looks brilliant! Really nice furniture for it to sit on as well :D - the unidentified apisto I think is an sp. Steel Blue which is a nice find if it is but it could be a borelli not sure.

Tank length is superb, reminds me of the display tank at Titchfield MA!

Marlin died on Saturday morning... :-(

See this thread for my rant: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/346158-dead-ebjd-are-maiden-head-aquatics-taking-the-p/

So angry...... :grr:

Just finished a 75% WC and cleaned out the FX5 for the first time. Took about 45mins in total, easy peasy!

My Jaguar catfish was having fun in the shallow water, leaping about like a bloomin dolphin!

Will get some more pics up over the weekend hopefully.... Looking at some Tapajo Red Heads tomorrow too......

thats a big water change already. have you got floss or pads in the fx5?

how is the letter coming on?

I've got Seachem Purigen in the filter, Fluval biomax & Prefiler, and also Seachem Matrix, and the standard 6 foam pads (and my old, mature sponges).

Only did a big WC to see how long it'd take and just for good practice.

Letter is nearly done, I've got it on the system at work. I'll post it up once it's complete ;)

sorry about the ebjd , maybe you can try and find a bigger 1 , they do seem to be quite fragile when small . stunning tank tho , i bet you get loads of enjoyment sitting watching it . :good:

Sorry about the EBJD but hey, I found someone who lives near to me! Waterzoo is my LFS too, god I love the place. :hyper:

Good Luck with the fish,

Not a cichlid, but thought I'd post a couple of pics up of Stumpy the Jaguar Catfish...

I added 7 Congo Tetras yesterday, they've settled in fine. Crazy bunch at feeding time! :hyper:

cant beleive he is that active matt never seen him :D

He hides a lot of the time in the coconut and in the wood cave, but he does venture out every now and then when the lights are on...

The Sun cats are extremely shy though, only really get to see them once the tank lights are off, amazing fish though... Going to have to get a bigger tank though (if I plan on keeping them for a long time)....
