Ive been on this site for a little while now and have a 96litre tank cycled and running well for a couple of months.

Well ive just finnished cycling my 4 foot tank, only took 3 and a half weeks which i am pleased about.
My question or enquiry really is.... what do i put in this one.I have a few live bearers and honey gouramis in the other one and defo dont want live bearers in this one.

i like .... cories, gouramis, angels and would like a big school of some type of tetra.... and also a BN plec as i have one in the other tank and he does a really good job and is fun to watch

thanks in advance for any new ideas x

Hiya I have got a 55 gallon and had smaller fish in but i hate that look it doesn't work with a 4 foot tank so now i am growing on my angel babies and i have 8 gourami and a school of cories and it looks good. So if u like cories, gouramis and angels, go with that. the school of tetra is only ok when they school, which mine haven't done 90% of the time and it looks messy lol

Hi mel

shame about the tetras.... will have to think about them a bit more but yes i think i will go with what ive said but was just a bit worried about angels not pairing and being aggressive.Do i get just 2 or 3 and see how they go.

Oh decisions,decisions.... lol

Sent you a PM :)

Smaller fish can certainly work in a large tank; a shoal of around 20 Harlequin Rasboras and the same number of Cardinal Tetras look sensational in a planted tank (with the Honey Gouramis) - you'd have to wait a good three/four months before adding the Cardinals, though. 8-10 Corys would add plenty of movement to the bottom of the tank, too.
