I'm considering getting a seventh tank for my house, so I'm hoping maybe some of you all have used the tank I may purchase, along with the stand. I'm looking at Petco's SeaClear Rectangular Show Junior Executive kit which got pretty good reviews. It's a 29 gallon tank. To hold it up, I was looking at the Petco Kingston 29 Gallon Wood Aquarium kit, which got fairly good reviews. I've never used either brand, but I'm not satisfied with my local Petsmart's selection. I would like a forty gallon, but I think that may be out of my price range.

Have any of you guys used either the tank or the stand? Could you recommend some better ones? I'd like to get shubunkin goldfish or angelfish. I've never had a tank that large (my biggest ones now are two ten gallons, one of which is overstocked, but my sister won't listen to me), but I would really like to try it. Suggestions?

Honestly if i were you id check your local craigslist. There are plenty of good fish tank finds on there. Also it will save you a chunk of change to buy a used one apoosed to a brand new one.

I've looked, but I live in a fairly small town, so sometimes Craigslist is not my best bet. The kit comes with everything (including decoration) except gravel and fish, which is why I was leaning towards that tank in particular. Thanks for the suggestion though.

That tank looks good.  Is the top partly sealed over?  I could not tell from the one picture on the web site. That could impact your surface area in terms of stock levels, or top breathing fish like Bettas or Gourami.  And the only other concern I would have with a tank that size is the acrylic. Not for being sturdy, but for the scratches that can happen if you are not careful when cleaning.
