Hi,
I have an established community tank, my neons dont seem to come out from hiding. They stay near the bottom of the tank and are hardly ever seen, i have to search for them, there is 9 of them and they just wont come out, I feed at regular times, flake food and freeze dried Brine Shrimp.

Has anyone any idea on this .?

Is there any bigger fish that are a threat to them?
Are they new?

I have 9 slightly bigger ones and to be truthful dont remember their name, also 3 zebra danios and 3 rummy noses, and an Algea eater, but they are all small fish..

And when the neon do appear, the others dont bother them at all, I have sat watching them on a number of occasions, Id say its quite a peacful tank.

what size is the tank? it takes neons a while to feel safe IME it took mine just under a month before they strarted to split off and explore the tank

Zebra Danios need to be in a group of half a dozen or more. :good:

How many gallons is the tank? Are the neons faded/pale looking at all? How long have you had them in the tank for? If you can get pics, we should be able to ID your fish which you do not know names of, its important to know what sort of fish you have so you can look after them properly.
