Need New Fish! Ideas?

Hi everyone!! So I have decided to donate my Platies which is going to make a lot of room for new fish considering the Platies have reproduced overwhelmingly! Anywho I am interested in hearing your thoughts on some new fish. I am leaning towards maintaining a "community" fish tank with peaceful fish, however, I would like to find some exotic fish that are visually appealing. I'll take any recommendation just to spark some ideas Thanks a bunch guys!

I just got myself some Galaxy Rasboras and altho they are small their colouring is smashing.

I got 6 for just under a tenner at my LFS.

If you like the Galaxy rasbora how about a large scale micro fish tank so stuff like badis, chilli rasbora, galaxy rasbora, pygmy cories, sparkling gourami etc would look stunning on a mass scale like a 55g with like schools of 30 of each of the rasbora I mentioned and 10 sparkling gourami and more it might sound a lot but they are so tiny the hardly produce any real waste and in that volume of water its not going to be an issue at all.

That would look fab! What a good idea, coz when people have bigger tanks they always think bigger fish.

I agree, for small schoaling fish you really cant do them justice in the 'minimum numbers' that are recommended (I'm a culprit of doing this ). I've seen tanks with 100+ neons that actively schoal and it looks incredible.

i just did the math on a certain fish calculating website and you could keep 150 Galaxy rasbora in your tank. How cool would that look.

They were priced at £1.95ea at a place called Creature Comforts in Totton, Southampton. If you bought 5 fish you got the sixth one free so £9.75 for 6.
