I thought I would carry this over from this thread as it's in Classifides:

http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/368907-plant-sale/

This plant Najas guadalupensis (guppy grass) appears to be rampant. Has anyone any experience of growing this and do you think it would choke
the other plants? Sells on eBay very cheaply indeed.

cheers

It grows fast, but it's easy to trim. You just chop off what you don't need, which takes like 5 seconds.

Does it grow so fast it deprives other plants of nutrients, which some people on here have said about planys with large bulbous roots which spread fast?

I wish I had come across guppy grass years ago as a boy when I could get absolutely NOTHING to grow whatso-ever. However, I don't think its the silver bullet I'm looing for right now.
