Mystery Snail Sex?

How do you sex a mystery snail?

The male has a penis opposite his siphon. However, he hardly ever extends it, so you might not be able to see it unless you catch him getting it on with the female.

Thanks for the reply! I was expecting it to be about the shade of their bellies or something, its so hard to tell with most fish. I'm surprised its so direct with males. Thanks for the information!

By Mystery snails I assume we are talking about apple snails not trapdoor snails.
