I moved my tank on Saturday to a new house, and I discovered a snail on the side of the tank. I took out the shell and threw it away. Then I felt the side of the tank and it was covered in these small round things...They weren't hard like a pebble or delicate like a bubble. They were a bit sticky and they covered every surface of the tank except the sand and the plants. There is no pattern, they seem to be equally distributed throughout the tank with no visible pattern. These things are the size of the tip of a pin.

Snail eggs?? Should I get a mystery snail before they hatch (how long do I have?)?

Here's a terrible picture of some wood in my tank. All of the white dots are the mystery. The thick thing is some not fully digested peas.

They look like Diatoms which are a major group of algae, and are one of the most common types of phytoplankton.

Is your tank cycled? It indicates that your water parameters are unbalanced - what are your water stats?

They are harmless - just keep wiping them off and when you get your water stats balanced you should see them disappear.

Tanks been cycled at least a month now (3 months with the tank). I havent changed my water source since I moved the other day, but since they were in there before I put water from the new house in, maybe the water company did something while I was still living there? I tested the new house water and it seems *almost* exactly the same water parameters, perhaps just a little bit more GH.
