If you're wanting some bargain decent quality plants then check out last trading post on ebay. I have just bought an assorted pack of 40 plants for £9 delivered... Alot of easy going stem plants (cuttings) and some cracking Amazon Swords. Crypts are also a great easy going plant. Although you will get some melt from them but they should pull through it with general maintenance.

I would add some more rocks and some driftood, break the tank up a little. Add black backgrounds too.

Thanks. It's changed a little now, moved a few plants around etc.

What about when i want to do a gravel vac?? Do i have to take all the plants out?? How often should the gravel be cleaned? I'm running two filters in the tank a tetra in 400 with 2 carbon foam in it and an IN 600 with four bio foam in it

Last time i did that, i managed to uproot all my plants !!! Also how often should i do it?

I do mine probably once a month if I notice anything that needs removing, but in all honesty, I don't do it that often as my externals are pretty decent at removing most of it.
