Good lord Ace! You make it sound like I've shut down all my tanks and gone to the fair and won a goldfish for a plastic bowl! I could understand that comment if I'd shut a puffer tank down to convert to to coldwater or shut down all my other tanks to convert, but just turning my community tank into coldwater is all I have done and opened up my Rekord 60 again as a smaller community. Calm down dear The snails are in one of the coldwater tanks btw

The stock had dwindled down and it wasn't looking it's best. A change is as good as a rest I say and these fancy goldies are such characters I certainly don't see it as a step backwards. In fact I have completed my fishkeeping circle now. Tropical, oddball, brackish, cichlid, marine and coldwater

hey dude, just letting you know about the mystery snails, but if they are indeed... ahhh... yeah, doing their little thing, they will lay eggs on the outside of the tank above water. They look like a wasps nest, but yeah, just giving you a heads up if your kind of wondering what they hell these new things are...

I know what the snails are - apple snails They're there intentionally and I love them. Just waiting for them to lay their eggs now

Bigpig - well put! I really tried to downsize my number of tanks when I got the marine going, but such is my love of the tanks and the fish that all of a sudden I'm back up to 7
I may shut the blue cube down for a bit - I'm having a couple of ops soon that will be disabling for me for some time, and may struggle with maintenance (another reason I was intending to downsize initially), so that and maybe the Rekord 60 would be the only ones I'd consider shutting down if necessary. Just can't lose the others no matter what

Miah - the tank will look just as nice as that one did - give me time to get it 'just so' and I'll be posting pics up to prove it
