Hello,I've had my tank now about a year but never really looked into the quality of water but decided last week to get a api test kit.The ph level was at 7.5 and the kh&gh where also high.I found out that a ph level of 7 is good for a community tank so I found seachem neutral regulator. The problem is it says it shouldn't be used with live aqua plants and I was hoping to get some plants and drift wood next week. What way can I keep my ph at 7 without harming the plants ?

Thanks Anthony

There is nothing wrong with a pH of 7.5 for a community tank. Take the buffer back and get a refund. Just do regular tank maintenance. That is, weekly water changes of 35-50% and clean your filter media using the water you took out of the tank. Vacuum the bottom as well at least ever few weeks or more often if its really dirty.

Ok.My test said that angel fish like a ph of 6.5.Will this affect their health in anyway?

My Angel is quite happy in a pH of 7.5. Also my gH & kH are very high.
