My Tank....cycling

so now were getting along. i have a betta got great personality have you seen any pics of all the sorts? and if you like both adf and betta's why not go with a male betta and say 3/4 adfs?


edit- their not hard to look after and don't need large tanks and lots of people keep them in community tanks so they can be kept with fish.

I think you could get pygmy corys in there with a betta. Bettas are often kept in small containers at the store, cruel but they survive because they live in puddles in the wild

cool, my mate but a betta in his communtity tank with black widow tetras and platys and bala sharks.......now i no its wrong..i dint at da time!!

cant i keep corys instead of AFD's

i think the minimum tank size is 1-2 gallons, but youll have too do a full tank water change every day.

yes. its better MUCH better too keep them in a 5 gallon filtered tank with lots of nice plants. Would you like too be kept in a small crampt tank just because you could live there.

I think your tank would make a cool betta tank!

a 6us g tank with a filter is perfect for a betta as you can just do 20% water changes a week, it's only 100% water changes when he tanks not filtered.

you can kept cories with betta's not sure on tank size of cories though.

Yes, you showed me a picture of a betta in a small bowl. That would have too be cleaned daily.

I think 3 albino corys would be ok in your 7 gallon as youll only have a betta with it.

What are your tank dimentions? Ill tell you if there is enough space for the corys

o, jayjay its a 6 uk gallon so thats bigger than 6 us aint it?

so its a 6 UK gallon tank:

- 1 betta - 3inch
- 3 corys - 6 inch
- total: 9 inch (alot better!)

Yep it is. Btw, your sig says you have fake plants, if theyre plastic, they may tear a bettas fins, you also need to consider filter current, if its not too much. Corys will need sand or rounded pebble gravel, not sharp as they rest on it and it will damage their barbels.

ok Qays, this is the set-up:

plants: 3 real, the fake one is a MARINA soft plant: its like lots and lots of fake plants on one base, not like the normal ones u get, ill find a link to a picture.
gravel: rounded small gravel
decor: two rocks with terracotta plants on top + large pebbles dotted around
filter flow: at the mo its really powerful, ill change it to slow nozzle then point it to the back glass
wud this be ok?
cant find a link, but its like a big base, with lots of differnt types of plants coming from the base, like some tall and some furry lil ones and grass n stuff etc..(looks very nice)
