This fish is stunning  I am so frustrated that I cannot get a decent shot of her as my poxy camera won't take one  I seem to be able to take OK shots of Mr Orange, but the others are a struggle.

Anyhow these photos give some idea of her colour, despite not all being in focus. She is really a bright, sparkling metallic. She can only get better as well

She's gorgeous and not an ounce of aggression... So far  In fact the Sevs boss her around if anything.

One of my favorite fish ever :) My tank is my nics tank and thats one fish I will never part with - Ive found mine a bit pushy and nasty at times but its all show shes picked so many fights and lost all of them its funny sometimes - she digs for england constantly!

Whats your Ph and what are you feeding her? On the photos her head looks a like it has a bump in it this is quite common in tank bred nics because as they grow and develop in the breeders and the LFS their water and they and up with a calcium deficancy which causes that bump - it does not damage the health and it is purely cosmetic but mine has improved greatly since I got her due to my hard as nails Hull water and also I have read a fatty diet helps to smooth it out - new era NW pellets are good for this apparantly and thats also one of the foods I feed so it might work out but I have to admit I love the results Im getting from Prima atm

Wills :)

She is lovely, I miss mine, had no choice but to re-home as she didnt get on with the texas, ended up putting her up for sale and the texas but she went first.

Thanks for everyone's lovely comments :)

She does have a slight bump, Wills, thanks for your advice :) She is only young still, and I have incredibly hard water here (have to clean the kettle out at least once a week as the limescale builds up so quickly!), so she'll get plenty of calcium to help even it out :) I'll have a look into those NW pellets you mentioned, what is their full name?
At the moment the fish in the big tank get a mix of Hikari Staple, Gold, Tetra Veggie Wafers, Carnivore as their staple plus at least once a week frozen mussell and cichlid mix, bloodworm etc. They had some live bloodworm the other day as I bought some from an Lfs which actually had it in the fridge, rather than the sun  I won't buy it from there as it's got to be off  They also get peas, lettuce etc.

ajs - thanks, he does have a lot of personality :) I'm not sure exactly how old he is but he's about 3" now (they told me they were 3" in the shop but weren't, probably about 2.5" without tail) and getting really chunky :) I've only had him a month as well, but he eats like a pig

Its just called New Era cichlid pellets in a black tub you can get south american or african pellets and they are really fatty you can tell. My Nic eats anything though haha

Thanks, will have a look. She isn't fussy, eats whatever is in there and constantly looking around for more
