yes today i got my dovii just thought i would put them on here for you all to see

is it just them and the plec in the tank?

sure is i wanna put the plec in my malawi tank though as they are a breeding pair but the guy who i got them off wasnt botherd and used to just let the plec eat the eggs

aren't they Parachromis Managuensis?

I always though Dovii had an unbroken black line along their body whilst Jaguars had the blotches as shown?

nellys was a jag and it looked exactly like that.. tho i know nothing of scientific names * off to do a google search *

no mate they are parachromis dovii and they size iz female is about 4 inch -5 and they male is about 7-8 they still very young though

i wouldnt have been able to tell the diffrence between that and a jag check the mouth area.. looks diffrent but im not going to start a debate he knows better than i do and its poss just the angle the pic is taken at

i think the male jag has more of a lump in its head than the dovii

wow that's a stunning pair of JAGUAR CICHLID'S......If they pair off and breed that plec will suffer, it probally will anyone.....

You may even find they will be very aggressive toward's each other, I would keep a handy tank devider at the ready

the one in the pot is male and is starting to change his pattern like my male did, the female is the one outside the pot

well guys if that is the case i will be seeking my money back although they are nice fish i wanted dovii and where sold them as a pair !!!!

but the guy who i bought these fish has a lot of dovii

mate hold up, how much did you pay, you seemed happy enough with them til you knew, also there just as good and max out smaller, how big is tank?

dont get me wrong nelly the guy says they where dovii i payed 25 quid for the 2 and there in a 4 ft by 2 and the plec is now in my malawi tank so its just them 2 in there now

i have a 5 x 2 x 2 but need external filter so they would have to stay in there until i get that which will be soon
