For the last couple of weeks, I kept hearing a plop noise shortly after the lights went out. At first, I just thought a fish got spooked and breached the water. Until today, when cutting off dead pothos leaves, I noticed the roots of the plant outside of the water had actual ricefish eggs on them! It seems my ricefish must have been watching the video I watched on splash tetras! These daisies keep surprising me . A very low chance these eggs will make it, but it's an interesting thing that I didn't expect ricefish to do.
