My New Geophagus Pair =) "till And Lilly"

went and collected the stunning pair of geo's i had reserved today.
they are allready displaying breeding behaviours too eachover! and have a whole tank to themselves for the time being.

I decided to name the large male after my role model TILL LINDEMANN lead singer of my faverite band Rammstein.
The smaller female i had to call LILLY, after Lilly allen, because she has funny black marks under each eye. like lilly allens stupid makeup =)


This is the box in my basement ready to be opened. Geo's are actualy made of glass... hence "Fragile".

this is Till and Lilly soon after introduction,

and a view from the side, Before you say WHAT A SKINNY TANK... their is a piece of furniture in the way... so its ALOT bigger than it looks

Here is the tank, the keen eyed will notice i added anotehr rock to form a small cave above the bamboo piece =)

Thought id put my hand upto them so you could see the general size of them, bare in mind they are about 4" from the glass. yes she has a nibbled tail from the tankmates they were with. and yes i have a Rammstein logo on my hand =D

thanks =) yeh the male is already showing some fast regeneration of a small tear in his dorsal fin.
Lilly keeps hiding in the cave and Till seems to just patrol about, i know they are substrate spawners,
ive never bread geo's before, is it likely she is laying and tending the eggs and he is guarding, or that she is hiding from him???
