My Gouramis In Trouble?

Hi ,bought a dwarf male gourami and 2 females on monday from pets at home ,wednesday one female died ,took it back on thursday and they replaced it,with another female after testing the water ,on saturday it`s sitting on the bottom ,opening and closing it`s mouth,i`ve noticed it`s blown some bubbles on the top of the water,and it goes up there,but then comes down to rest ,is it dieing?

It sounds like the same thing i had with one of my males. Was fine one second. Then suddenly resting on the bottom with hardly any movement. He died within 12hours. Still too this day dont know the cause, As water was great & tank mates all fine.

Im sorry too hear about this, I hope it pulls through.

Hi , I have a problem with my Dwarf Gourami. It started as a little mark above the face but now is massive.

Dwarf gouramis are quite overbred and susceptible to what's known as Dwarf Gourami Disease (whether or not that's what is killing yours off I wouldn't like to say, it could be a bad batch of fish, some issues that occurred during transport, loads of different things). Honestly Maisy, if I were in your position, I would take them all back, and buy some Honey Gouramis instead. You can still do a trio of 1m 2f, but they are more robust in terms of their immune system and I suspect you'll have fewer issues and concerns. That's just my opinion...

My gourami is now lying on it`s side opening and closing it`s mouth ,it`s been in trouble since this morning ,what shall i do as i hate to think of it suffering?
