My Female Gourami Died Yesterday

about a week ago i was doing a water change when my female dwarf gourami went near the tube and got her head stuck in it due to the suction. i pulled it out of the water and had to pull her out of the end of the tube. well yesterday i came in to find her dead.

do you think its shock? took a while to finish her off if it was

risky - 1:1 with DGs can end in tears. Would it be possible to get 2 females instead and spread his 'advances'?

But as to the question, its been my experience that a single gourami is a sad gourami. My dwarf was a wreck after his betta girlfriend died, until I got him a girl.

It might have had a disease. I know that there is one that's cause by excessive breeding in Singapore. It kills it slowly and over time. It's sad but it happens to them...

My Gourami's girl died, pretty sure he stressed her to death, she was always hiding. He still thinks he is the utter pimp though so who knows
