Are these fish you've spawned? I only ask because I see males together and it seems that they will only get along while still growing up in their grow out tank.

yes they are young fish and been reared together I will need to separate them very soon.

out of about 40 fry I kept 6 of them they sexed out 4 males and 2 females.

I thought so, they all have similar coloration Can you say how old they are? It took my bettas a good 7-8 months before they were of breeding age, but I know they can reach maturity much faster.

they're 6 months old I've not tried to see if they will spawn, i think they're capable though.
