Thanks mate.

Your WB is similar to mine then - I too have preset modes. I was talking of the actual manual setting where you can actual alter the image processing in real-time, a graph displays the light parmeters and you can shift the colour interpretation, or something like that!

Your dosing is almost identical to mine now then. Except I need less PO4 due to my loaded tap. I assume you mean 10ml CSM+B mix.

You filter set-up is very similar too. Any news on the CO2 diffusion front?

Sounds like Cardamine then, it just looks so much bigger than mine when I had it - and mine just stopped growing after 3 months, I assume due to my higher temps.

Your plans sound excellent. I looks forward to the fruition.

Cheers mate.

Very nice tank zig, very natural looking.
Is your Hemianthus micranthemoides pot grown or cuttings? yours is nicely bunched whereas mine seem to be splaying out allover the place.
Also whats the foreground plant amongst the three bits of wood on the left?

Hey guys this is my 42 Us gallon tank, i have'nt had a lot of luck with this tank in the last couple of months, i had major lighting issues thanks to dodgy Interpet lighting products, anyway all has been resolved (eventually) and this is the latest reincarnation.

The shots are taken with a new camera of which i am not yet totally familar, hence the light burnout on some of the leaves etc, i just thought i would post them now as i will probably be making some changes in the next week or so to the tank, and keeping that in mind this version might not be around much longer.

The foreground is probably a bit fuller than it looks in the pics, again some camera burnout, but not yet totally covered with the Hemianthus callitrichoides (HC) i would say another 2 weeks will do the job.

The fish at the surface of the tank is just coincidental, i only noticed it as i went to post the pics, CO2 is usually kept at around 30-40ppm with no stress to the fish whatsoever.

Anyway let me know what you think, good bad or indifferent all opinions welcome, or if you have any questions fire away.

@gf....George the camera has a custom setting for the WB as well as the usual set of preset choices, but i still have to figure it out properly, i havent had much spare time.

@RYO...the HM was origionally pot grown and i have just kept topping it and replanting the cuttings within an inch or so of the previous lot, works very well, just plant about 5 or 6 stems at a time, together, an inch or so apart from the last lot, new shoots appear from the cuttings within a week or so under good light.

@Ken25.....the spikey plant at the back left is Pogostemon stellata "broadleaf"....AKA weed

Thanks everyone

Wonderful in all aspects. This will be a killer layout when things fill out, better than any of mine.

I love the substrate sloping effect, it increases the sense of balance. Your hardscaping is also remarkable Peter, you got skills!

I'm deeply impressed mate. Kudos.

WOW thanks for the thumbs up George, i allways find it difficult to be a judge of my own setups, also my friends have 0 interest or artistic flair, so no point in asking them, so im just left to my own devices and ideas normally.

Thanks again, i might post it over on APC later and see what those guys think, i will probably swap some plants around and maybe remove the Bacopa and post some more pics to see what you guys think in the next week or so.

That is just amazing. I love how natural it looks. It looks like no one created it... it's just the way it would be if you stuck your head in a lake. Wow. I don't seem to be able to think today. What I'm trying to get at is that it's beautiful. Keep up the good work. :)

Zig,

Certainly something for us all to aim at! Very cool boyo, very cool.

Could you point out the H. micranthemoides? I'm hoping to get some myself and would be good to see it at work before hand.

Sam

The layout is lovely Zig, keep us posted. You definitely have a gift for this sort of thing. :)

I'm with you on that one.

It is one of the great things about forums, you get a whole cross-section of opinion and advice. I have no idea how rubbish my tank would look if I didn't have the internet. I'd probably still have no CO2, let alone EI etc.

Definitely post it on APC - I'm sure you'll get some very interesting (and positive) responses from the members over there. Hopefully some of the more experienced guys will provide some feedback for you.

If I had to critisise it would be to do something with the big bushy stem plant in the center (right of the narrow fern) - is that the Bacopa you're talking about?

I just also want to say what an interesting style you have too. Very unique, very good!
