My fish have gone mad with hormones and are spawning like crazy....well all the fish I am not trying to breed. My Green Terrors don't want to do the dirty, but my Jack Dempseys spawned for the third time (see my Jack Dempsey thread) my cories went on a 7 cory breeding frenzy, adn I save a single fry from that fiasco. Just noticed last ngiht that I have 2 yellow labs and a Blue Zebra holding....oh and after searching for my male bristlenose for an hour, I found him deep in my hollowed out plastic wood piece......with babies!!! What am I going to do with all these babies???

I don't know, but if you come up with a practical solution let me know... I have 48 Steatcranus casuarius and ~39 Ilyodon xantusi youngsters right now, after one of the female goodeids gave birth a little sooner than expected (she was not "squared off") over the last two nights to 10 monster sized babies. :D

Anyhow, congratulations! Start advertising privately early and if you have not already got a deal arranged with a LFS, pay them a visit and see what they will offer once the youngsters reach an acceptable size, should you not get enough private sales.

Sounds like your water quality must be spot on. As soon as I got my African cichlid tank established and got the water stats just right they started mating like crazy.

I'm pretty excited. My jack dempseys are looking great right now. They are 4 days old and their swimming is stronger already than the last batch. I think this spawn might survive.

Scott MaAdam, what is the fish in your avatar?
