Mudskippers

Wow, I am surprised that people do keep them in tanks. it very . If i had the money, the experience, the space and the time, i would get mudskippers

I have been contemplating turning one of my tanks into a mudskipper tank once I get my new tank for a while now. With a bit of thought and planning, setting up a mudskipper tank isn't too involved a process to make it unobtainable for all but the most dedicated aquariasts out there. Mudskippers tend to spend a good majority of their time on land in the home aquarium so ample above water room is a must. Providing several patches of land rather than one big piece can help curb fights over territorial issues. The humidity needs to be fairly high as well so a cover is a must (they are good jumpers anyhow so shouldn't be kept without a cover even if humidity wasn't an issue). If memory serves me correctly mudskippers belong to the goby family. They are able to come out onto land by storing water in their "lungs".

wow thats very interesting, please give me some pics of it if you decide to make it a mudskipper tank. Also when r you stoppingby the minds abyss, (theres not 2 much action) but we could use your opinions to make it better.

To me catching a big ole mudskipper is better then catching a fish with a rod and reel. It fun.when I go back for x-mas ill try to get some pics
