Hello guys and gals,

I am a new aquatic enthusiast and also new to this site. I just had a question about my Vampire Placo L-029, hoping someone else has one. So I realize that he or she for that matter has only been in his new home for two days. However, he has found himself a home and has been unseen since I placed him in the tank. I don't mind, I realize that he likes it dark but I'm just concerned about his health and is he eating enough. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Give it time to adjust and it will start coming out at feeding time. This could take some time.

The Vampire pleco is a carnivore species that needs a meaty diet. A varied diet of chopped market shrimp, brine shrimp (live or frozen), blood worms, pellets, wafers, and flakes should be provided.
