Moving With My Two Tanks

Well this weekend I'm moving for the first time in 9 years (Also first i'll remember lol) and of course this is the first time with fish. I need to move my 37 gallon and my 1 gallon about 50 miles to our new house, It usually takes about an hour to get there. I won't be going up with the rest of my family Saturday morning as I have a party to go to but I should be there saturday night and i'll scout out spots for the tanks. For the big one I need somewhere level and with atleast one open outlet (I have a power strip attached inside my stand) And for the little one somewhere with a desk or counter and two open sockets. Tonight I am going to get a gravel vacuum (I usually use buckets for water changes)easyer. WHat kind do you guys suggest? I'm thinking eiter the JBJ Instant Siphon Gravel Cleaner or a Hagen Gravel vacuum. I think i'm going to get 5 home depot 5 gallon buckets, is this enough? I plan on filling these buckets with tank water and then puting my gravel in one, decorations in a few others and my fish in one of them. Is it okay to just put the fish in a bucket or do i need to bag them? I think bagging would be more stressful. FYI my 27 gallon has: 5 harlequin rasboras, 5 serpae tetras, 1 zebra danio, 1 male dwarf gourami, and two platy fry currently in a breeder net. I plan on putting them in one of those cups bettas come in for the journy so they don't get hurt. There is also one ghost shrinp in the tank. Where would be best for him? He is currently in the breeder net (He got in himself) So if figure if he stays in there he should be easy to catch. Should I put him with the big fish in a bucket or in the cup with my fry? For my one gallon I think i might just take it how it is. It's plastic so I don't think it'll crack and i'll just drain off a bit of water so it doesn't spill then hold it the whole way there. It is very hard to catch shrimp in such a small tank, was killer to get that ghostie outa there lol. So what do you guys think? Will my plan work? And do you have any tips?

I would use about a 5 gallon bucket half full to move the fish. The tank needs to quite empty when being moved to avoid any undue stresses on the joints. The filter can be simply sealed into a plastic bag or the media can be placed in the bucket with the fish for the trip. Make sure you give you heater a few minutes to cool off before removing it from the water, you don't want to crack it.
