Moving House Nightmare

Well hope everything goes well, id just love to have seen how you have 40 tanks set up over there, as well as these other guys toting 25+ tanks.

i have two tanks in my bedroom, partially because i live at home with parents, but i cant wait to get a house and spend all the mortgage on fish and tanks!! :hyper:

good luck again!

One huge truck.... 2 medium trucks (1 with trailer) and all is not here yet....

I searched the past 3 days for my computer keyboard so's I could get back on Internet..... and (I'm not joking - Murphy is alive and well) the very last box I checked - (in the pantry) contained my keyboard.

I connected up, and my service provider has no signal here, so I took out the simcard on my cellphone, and got a connection through their modum.

My camera is also in one of these boxes, so I cannot even show you the chaos going on on this side.... (I have no clue in which of the at least 200 boxes that is...

The good news is....... I moved here with (at least) 12- to 15,000 fish..... One guppy female did not survive the trip!!... (I think the removal guys shuffled the gravel on top of her). The rest all survived...

Will show you the photos of my new fish room as soon as I get the camera!!

Since we have a long weekend (here in SA - Easter).... The ballance of my stuff will only be delivered next week. (all my fish stuff is here at least)

Just by shampooing my hair, (much more foam and softer) and by looking at the smiling fish in my tanks, I can tell that the water conditions is much, much better (and softer) on this side... Will show you more when I get the Cam... (it's been raining nonstop for 3 days now.

Congratulations on the sucessful move! I'm actually shocked it went so well, I would have thought a few more fish would have died (not jynxing you in any way) but I suppose its down to you being a experienced fishkeeper and knowing what you are doing. I dread the day of having to move, but no way near as much as you probably were!

Glad you are now tucked up in your new home - looking forward to seeing the new photos of the house, area etc

i remember when i went to kenya (not quite where you are but right continent...) it rained solid for a whole 5 days of our holiday, but i was amazed,it was really really nice, very warm and refreshing.

i couldn't imagine moving with that amount of fish AND that many surviving, that needs congratulations! well done!

in this country i'd imagine most companies wouldn't move you, or they'd hike the price stating insuring the wellbeing of livestock.

At least you have your priorities right Ludwig. The kitchen may need to be unpacked but the fish room is getting closer to completion.
