I have danios, wmc minnows & silver tip tetras chasing round the tank all day. On the bottom of the tank its my panda corys playing follow my leader & my kuhli loaches are pretty active too. My son has kuhlis who only come out at night but mine are out most of the day. My sons tank containing swordtails, mollies, blood fin & red eye tetras, kuhlis a red tail shark & a gold sucking loach is much more sedate.

Most active fish ive seen are Exodons, these guys never seem to stop whizzing about and fighting with each other and everything, like bad tempered tigerbarbs on speed.
I'll have to ditto that!!!

"Active" as in "interactive" would have to be my angelfish or severum (or my clownfish, but he's SW).

I thought my post would get atleast some reaction. My sister told me that parrot fish are hybrids and usually can't mate. I expected someone to comment on that. Is it true that her fish are freaks?
That is true. Parrots are hybrids and most of them are sterile. There is quite a controversy about the "ethics" of man interfering with breeding hybrids, but this wasn't a thread about hybrids and most people try not to derail threads with off-topic debates ;)

I worked in a lfs where the parrots had babies... loads of fry, parents protecting them from the other fishies...

they are hybrids yes.

your right parker i should not have tried to change the topic sorry guys

I would say juvinile Bala sharks are quite active, it only when they get older they seem to swim in one spot most of the time...

If you want a active fish throughout its life span i would have to say that Danio's are the most active fish

Pictus's. They are more active than my Danios. I swear these things dont sleep. I have yet to see one stop moving completely. When i started a mini cycle by accident they slowed down but never really stopped.
