Molly Babies

Hello everyone My Mollies keep having babies even tho i have no males in the tank. I am now on my third set of babies and am getting over run with them. I have asked my local aquatics shop they are not interested in swapping of taking them. Also i am worried that with all these babies if they are mixed boys and girls, if they start mating with each other will this produce deformed fish as they are inbreeding?

Potentially it could produce deformed fry (the most common result is incomplete gill covers), but in practice it happens only very rarely.

Try advertising them for free on Gumtree or Freecycle or whatever's available in your local area; there are usually takers for free fish!

Most livebearers can 'only' produce between five and seven litters from stored sperm so yours will, hopefully, stop soon!

I have a livebearer community, with 3 males and 6 females. I always have babies lol. I put an ad on craigslist once a month, an will usually unload the entire batch within a day or two. A lot of hobbyists (and i say this because i do not give my babies to people who don't know what they are doing) like free home bred fish. My last batch went to a 125g livebearer community.
