my mollie only gave birth to two fry is this normal... either that or they got eaten

but usualy she gives out like 20 +
is she facing the menopause?

Unless you are able to monitor your female molly closely, I would not be blaming her for the lack of fry. Even the old female that I have that may not make it another month dropped about 30 fry on her last drop. I did not see her deliver but found the fish in her birthing tank after the fact. She may well have dropped more than that and eaten some of them, but there were that many left when I arrived home from work and checked her tank.
