I was walking through the creekbed behind my house "looking" for wildlife to photograph. I have seen frogs, snakes, lizards and spiders down here and have always kind of kept my eyes peeled for snakes. Well, I went to move a branch so I could continue up the shore and realized it was "alive". He is not venomous but gave me a bit of a startle. :D I also ran into a water snake that was "fishing" for minnows.

i love wildlife and looks like your in the best place ever..........whats holiday prices like in your area?how do u find the snakes n lizards.i spent a month in colombia n found 1 lizard.

Everything is right under your nose!! The lizards I find are usually no longer than 3", just have to pay attention to unnatural movements in the bushes and along the ground. To find the snakes, I look for what they eat. Where I can find frogs and small fish, I will find snakes. I just try not to disturb them (handle them, chase them.....) I just get close enough to get some good photographs and then back away and let them continue doing what they are doing. Thanks for the comments! :good:
