Maturing Filters In Tanks

I picked up a Fluval 2+ about 20 days ago and stuck it in my coldwater tank - full of messy goldfish.

Reckon it'll be safe to move to the tank I intend for it? The bioload from the tank I'll be putting it in will be tiny.

Might be ok, but if you can i'd leave it another week or two just to be safe. Especially if you will be relying solely on that filter for filtration in the other tank.

Yeah Im with BTT on this, usually around 4 weeks is a good length of time

Thanks. Will leave it in a bit longer, theres no rush - its a tank for breeding CPD's and it'll be at least a couple more months before they're breeding. They seem happy enough in a breeding trap in my community tank at the moment.
