Mature Filter Media

Really hoping sombody lives in colchester and is willing to trade
some filter wool/foam for my new stuff.
If you would be so kind please do say so and i will be willing
to collect myself.

Good luck Michael, getting lucky and finding some good mature media is a rare thing sometimes, which is why there are as many "standard" fishless cyclers as there are I guess. On this forum I usually get the impression that being in the UK seems to give you a bit better chance as the distances per population size seem tighter and perhaps the hobby is a bit stronger in the UK (I suppose that's hard to tell though.)

Yes, I was one of those disappointed by the doing away of the line under each member's name that told generally the city, country type info. It's still there in the profile but is no longer out in the forum posts, at least in mine. It may be that on average people are grow a bit more uncomfortable as this sort of info homes in on them, I don't know. (In truth, most of us probably live our lives out in boring anonymity, right Perhaps a prince getting married would advise us to keep it that way?)

I asked two, one just tried to sell my cycle in a bottle, the other kindly gave me some gravel. i dont know if this helped because a workmate gave me a whoppping load of mature media so i used that asd well.

I take it nobody has any to trade/ donate then shame. Tank is 4 days "cycled" with fish flakes. Think it would be ok to add a small pleco?

Its a 45litre with very fine sand/gravel substrate, filter and air stone few fake plants(silk) all heated ect.

no wait till its fully cycled ammonia would work better

also what plec and what size tank

Cant remwmber name/number but it grows to 3" adult for my 45litre tank
