OK, so today was my day off! What does one do with his day off? Decorate? Mow the lawn? Clean the car? No... take a trip and do a tour of the entire East of England (well, 3 counties) for Aquatic shops!
Just got back in after a 12 hour day of shop visits! These are the stores I went to and what I rated them.

Maidenhead Aquatics @ St Albans, Hertfordshire - The Flagship Store of the chain I work for. Great display tanks. 8/10
World of Water, Hertfordshire - The best store I went too today. Great selection of dry goods, livestock and display ponds and tanks! The fact I just finished a 3 hour car trip helped! 9.5/10
Hertfordshire Fisheries - Not bad, a little too 'garden centre aquatics' for me though. Good selection of live foods and rare tanks. 6.5/10
MA Green Aquatic Supplies, Bedfordshire - Arrived, shop has moved/closed down.. after a 1 hour detour to find this shop! Damm!
Japanese Koi Co. Ltd, Bedfordshire - A really really strange shop! Loads of Koi and outdoor fish and some fantastic pond displays. Nice, large selection of tropical fish too. However, they also stock Japanese furniture and the staff were all walking around talking on their mobiles to their friends, or eating! Very strange! Also has a big pet department and reptile department (watched a snake digest a mouse! Nice!) 8/10 Definatley worth a visit with the family. Can take half a day. Bring a picnic to eat by the massive koi lake.
Maidenhead Aquatics @ Cambridge - Wanted to visit here simply because I work for the chain. Nice little shop, plenty of the 'bread and butter' fish aswell as some more specialist livestock. Worth a visit if your local. 7.5/10
Amwell Aquatics, Cambridgeshire - Closed before I got there! :X

There's my little shop tour! Now... for a bath..

Well being a puffer fan it was interesting to see some of the more rare freshwater puffer species. Also saw a nice lavendar tang which marine people will back me up in saying isn't common. Plenty of rare malawi cichlids and also so lovely inverts such as crabs etc.!
