Is this white guppy a female or male? The woman at the pet store said it was male but after researching Iām not sure if she was right.

Is this white guppy a female or male? The woman at the pet store said it was male but after researching Iām not sure if she was right.
It's hard to tell in the photo since s/he's resting on the bottom. Could you get some more photos that show the anal fin more clearly please? I'm inclined towards male, but when the anal fin is tucked up like this, it can be tricky, especially in a juvenile fish. feed him at the surface and snap a few shots as he's moving around.
Since it's a white fish with clear fins in a bare glass tank and lights will also make it hard to see, it would be clearly if you covered the back of the tank with something dark, even if you just drap a dark towel or something over the back of the tank, and turn all other sources of room lighting off/draw the curtains, and leave only the tank light on.

The white one is a male. Females of this specific strain are blond bodied and white in their fins. This commercial version of the platinum white (blond based) is called Snow White guppy. It's a cheaper and short finned (but still very interesting) version of the large finned platinum white guppies which you see at shows.
This is how the male and the female look like of this strain. Females of this strain will only show white in their fins (mostly caudal).

that is definitely a male.
I have a female of the same type, i hope its babies are fully white!
Both sexes are born blond. The males will develop the full white later on.
oh my bad i meant once the babies grew up
I could tell it was a male even without seeing his gonopodium. Males have a much different body shape. Much more streamlined and athletic than the frumpy females as is the case in most creatures.
