Male Or Female Gbr?

One of my Blue Rams died, and I want to replace it so that my other one has a partner.
Can anyone tell me from the pictures below which one is male and which is female?

The top picture looks like a young female, an extremely stressed one at that, hence the grey/brown bars, what PH and temperature are you keeping them at?

I'm at the tail end of a tank cycle, so that's not helping any...

The temperature should be at least 82oF if not higher, that will be part of the problem, what does their diet consist of?

I'll bump up the temp.
I feed all my fish flake, dried blood worms, frozen blood worms and shrimp pellets.
The Ram likes the pellets and blood worms and is eating well.
It was the male that died, and I'm going to wait for the water conditions to settle before I replace him.
