Making Your Own Fry Flakes......

I know I have previously posted something similar to this,….. but for those newby’s who have not seen it….. here we go again…… (making your own fry flake food)

Using a rolling pin on a hard surface….. simply roll out some standard flakes to the required size….. This can then be sifted and the finer flakes used for egg layers and the coarser for live bearers….. Much cheaper than the purchased product….

Thats the way i do it too... but to be honest i never do enough. Doing it this way would probably see you through several batches of fry.

I use a mortar and pestle, pretty much the same idea. Works great!
