Losing Fish Rapidly Need Help Please!

slight inflamation
breathing faster than normal
they are swimming like what we do in the watter whn you stay in the same spot (ie doggy paddling), so they arent swimming aroung just staying in same spot
slight paleness also

They usually flick and rub with flukes as sign of them doing it.
It would explain why you have lost so many fish,
Young fish are more prone to flukes, all fish carry a few flukes, its when they get infested with them that they start to do the damage, usually fetched on by stress.

definately no rubbing or flicking by any of the fish.
this all started when i added a fish that i bought from the pet shop.

so do you think it is still flukes??

Best thing to do is do a search on gill flukes just put in the search engine signs of gill flukes.
Yes I would of expected to see abit of flicking and rubbing.

do you test with test strips or liquid test?
if you test with strips i wouldn't trust them as far as i would throw them

just lost the 2 other rainbows i had
so ive got three fish left which probably wont make it either
thats 17 fish lost now i think within 5 days!

sorry to hear that. unfortunately it's a fact of fishkeeping that sometimes you get something that our meds just don't work on. It's happened to me and I know it's happened to a few of the really experienced members on this forum. So don't think it's your fault or that you could have done more. It's sad, but sometimes life is sad. :/

keep up what you're doing, you just never know if the others will pull through.

Sorry R.I.P.
If you do lose the rest I would think of stripping the tank down and starting again.
Did the rainbows show any different symtoms.
Have you used a bucket to fill the tank up that you use on the house or car.

nope used seperate buckets no other symptoms though

i have a whitespot breakout in 2 of my other tanks now, whats the best treatment for it??

i was told ws3 was the best one ive used protozon before and it wasnt that great!

I would add the ph thread to this one as its getting comfusing.
Only had whitespot once and I used anti whitespot med by interpet.

this is a different tank wilder

another harlequin dead this morning

down to 3 fish left!!

also woke up this morning and aquarium is EXTREMELY CLOUDY!!

nothing has been added to it at all, this is the first time it ever been cloudy and it kind of has a film on the top of the water

what would cause this to go so cloudy??????

coudy is almost always a bacteria bloom, this happens during cycling and would indicate that there are water quality issues (or have been recently) this would obviously account for the deaths if that is the case.

i've looked through your posts and can't see anywhere that you've posted the actual stats for your water tests, you've just said they are fine. Can you give us the exact readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate

Is the stuff on the top of the water like oil? This can be a sign that something is landing in the tank. I once put an uncovered tank on a table at the doorway to a room and lost three different lots of platy fry that I put in there before I worked out what it was - toilet freshener drifting down the hallway and landing in the fish tank. It sounds like there could be a contaminant somewhere. My friend's little sister sprayed insect repellent in a room with an uncovered tank and she lost all her goldfish - they had red and inflamed gills as well. Surely it would kill them faster though - and rams aren't exactly tough, it would make sense that the ram would be one of the first to go down.

whats your stats i and i will ask this question again
dose any body smoke in the same room
is any one using an air freshener spray or plug in type
as any one used carpet freshener or any thing like that
how often do you do water changes
and what size is your tank

biff

this is what i asked whats wrong with that
