Looks like I’m losing an Ender. 😢

I got him from a friend about 6 weeks ago along with a companion. He’s normally very energetic, especially around feeding time. Looked great yesterday.

Today he’s hunkered down in a corner and didn’t even come out for the feeding. No obvious signs of stress, just lying about. All the others are fine and super gluttons as per usual.

Weird. Other than laying about and not eating, he looks OK. Not gasping or anything. He just swam out and up to the surface, had a quick look around then swam back to that same corner and is lying on the gravel now. Upright, no weird swimming motions or anything. Just not moving.

He wasn’t dominated that I could tell. There are 4 guppies and two endlers and the little endlers were scrappy, held their own. He was gone this morning, though. Went into the log last night and that was it.

May never know the cause. The other endler is his usual rambunctious self. RIP little guy.

Is he being dominated by another fish?

Actually, maybe he was. They all chase each other constantly and I was taking it as “fish play”. The other endler is very spunky. This guy had a very long tail fin, and was a bit slower. Maybe he did get picked on and just got tired. Who knows.

The others all appear fine. He did, too, two days ago.
